I have been so full of love this week. I put a lot of effort into getting our family together, one parent at a time, to capture the Spirit of Christmas. I've felt my eyes opened to how blessed I am to be where I am, whom I am and with whom I am. Katie (my sister) and Tucker gave us a plaque saying "la vita e dulce" or "life is sweet" in Italian. That's exactly how I feel.

Today in sacrament we sang my Dad's favorite Christmas carol, "I heard the bells on Christmas day" and I truly felt the words as I sang:

"Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: "God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; the wrong shall fail, the right prevail, With peace on earth, good will to men."

The Savior's birth was the beginning of all of our hopes, all of our faith becoming a reality. 2/3 of Heavenly Fathers children chose to believe in his plan (including each of us), centered on his son atoning for us and providing the way back. When we celebrate Christmas I believe my emotions often overwhelm me because my Spirit remembers rejoicing at his birth and it can't help but be flooded with joy in remembrance.

So this season reminds me of that hope and joy. I feel so renewed and want to express my love to all of you who are part of our life and share your own hope and love with us.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
